Eda Emirdağ, “Window Studio/Camekân Stüdyo” adlı performans çalışmasına bugün 14:00’te @imc5533 ’de başladı.

Sanatçının bu performansı, cam vitrini bulunan ve kültür-sanat alanında faaliyet gösteren mekânlarda kendisini bir ‘obje’ olarak sergileme fikrine dayanıyor. 
Eda Emirdağ, üçüncü kez gerçekleştirdiği bu performans için @imc5533 ’de kendisine ayırdığı 3m70cm x 1m57cm boyutlarındaki camekan alanını kullanacak. Bu alanda, @montagresidency Takeover programı kapsamında ve bireysel sanatsal üretimleri için araştırma, başvuru, çevrimiçi yada henüz belirlemediği fiziksel çalışmalarını yürütecek.

Sanatçı, aynı performansı daha önce 2018 yılında İsveç’teki @kultivera_tranas adlı kültür kurumunda duo sanatçısı @karllarsson_photo ile birlikte ve 2017’de Türkiye’deki ilk kişisel sergisi “Introspective” için @galeribugalata ‘da gerçekleştirmişti.

Gözetim İlişkisi, mekan-beden ilişkisi, sanat ve gündelik hayat arasındaki sınır, yerel yada rastlantısal izleyici ile ilişkileri inceler.

The artist’s performance is based on the idea of ​​exhibiting herself as an ‘object’ in venues with glass showcases and operating in the field of culture and arts. For this performance, which she is performing for the third time, Eda Emirdağ will use the 3 meters 70 cm x 1 meter 57 cm glass space she has reserved for herself at @imç5533. In this area, she will conduct research, application, online or physical works that she has not yet determined within the scope of the Montag Residency @montagresidency Takeover program and for her individual artistic productions.

The artist had previously performed the same performance in 2017 for her first solo exhibition in Turkey, “Introspective”, at @galeribugalata and in 2018 at the cultural institution called @kultivera_tranas in Sweden, together with duo artist @karllarsson_photo .

From the artist's perspective, it examines the relationship between surveillance, the space-body relationship, the border between art and daily life, and the relationship with the local or random audience.
